Get started
- Install Dashboard Formulas & Pivot from the monday.com marketplace (account admins install apps).
- Add the Dashboard Formulas & Pivot widget to a dashboard, or add it as a board view.
- An account admin clicks Connect monday once. The app only reads your boards.
- Pick your boards, add metrics and, if you like, formulas, KPI cards or a pivot.
Free plan
Free is a full plan, no card needed: 2 widgets, up to 3 boards per widget and 10,000 items per refresh. Metrics, formulas, KPI cards, pivot tables and PDF or Excel export are all available on Free. Paid plans raise the limits and add snapshot links (Basic) and item rows in snapshots (Pro); see pricing.
Sources and filters
Use several boards in one widget; read items, subitems or both; limit to chosen groups; add a filter per board (is, is not, contains, empty, greater than, less than).
Metrics and formulas
- Sum, average, min, max, median, count, count of different values and count of a label, over columns matched by title across boards (numbers, formula and mirror columns, ratings).
- Formulas over your metrics with IF, ROUND, MIN, MAX, ABS, COALESCE, comparisons and percent-of. Dividing by zero gives a blank, not an error.
- Calculations use exact decimals, so totals do not drift by rounding.
KPI cards
Give a metric or formula a target, a direction (higher or lower is better) and an amber margin: the card turns green, amber or red.
Pivot tables
Rows × columns × a metric or formula, with totals, sorted by label, total or any column; click a header to re-sort.
Export and snapshot links
Export the widget as PDF or Excel. From Basic, a snapshot link shares frozen numbers and KPI cards with people who have no access to your boards: it lasts 1 to 90 days and can be revoked at any time. The pivot, and from Pro the item rows, are included only if you opt in when you create the link. A snapshot does not update; create a new one for newer numbers.
Refresh
Board reads are cached for 5 minutes; Refresh reads the boards again. Large widgets read many pages from monday and can take a while; the app waits for monday’s rate limits instead of failing.
Plans
Free, Basic ($12), Pro ($29) and Business ($59) per monday.com account and month, billed by monday.com. Limits are on the pricing page. While a monday.com trial is active, the app applies Pro limits.
Your data
The app keeps your widget settings and the snapshots you create; it does not keep a copy of your items between refreshes (only a 5-minute cache in memory). Everything is deleted when you uninstall. Details in the privacy policy.
Roles & permissions
A widget is shown only to people who can open every one of its boards, so numbers of a private board are not leaked. Account admins or owners of every source board can change a widget; viewers can only read. The app has read access only and cannot change your boards.
